From its modest beginnings, with production originally focused exclusively on unfinished hardwood flooring, this thriving business has upgraded and expanded its operations continuously with the goal of improving both productivity and product quality. Every year, the company has reinvested a significant portion of its earnings in its facilities. In 1996, the company enhanced its strategic position by adopting an innovation in its production process: implementation of an automated production line for varnishing its hardwood floorboards.

New Owners and Leading-Edge Technology
In 2009, Jean-Pierre and Lise Nittolo became the new controlling owners of Wickham Hardwood Flooring. Inspired by years of rewarding experience working at the company, the Nittolos have been eager to move forward with major changes to inject new energy into the organization. The business now includes a sawmill, kilns, a processing plant and a finishing line.

Major Presence in the Global Market
Positioned effectively in international markets, the company exports more than 78% of its production, primarily to Europe (Ireland and England), the United States and Asia (Japan). The remainder is sold to the local market and a range of distributors throughout Ontario and the Maritimes.
